Having completed a number of smaller sites between 2017 and 2018, Sovereign is expanding its portfolio of developments with the conversion of a brownfield petrol station into 24 affordable housing apartments, completing the project in 2019. They then spent 2020 and 2021 securing rights over several additional brownfield sites in the Northwest of England and acquiring the required planning permission to allow them to commence development immediately upon securing funding.
As the market demand for affordable housing in this region, and property prices for 1 and 2-bedroom apartments have remained upward, they have decided that now is the time to act.
